We've made some changes to Community Bicycle Network membership. You can now join CBN and enjoy the benefits of two membership levels: "Basic" and "Gearhead".

The Basic CBN membership* -- for $12 or 2 volunteer hours per year -- gives you the option of 1 free hour of Tool Rental or 20% off your first workshop, plus a vote at Annual General Meetings; and a free Bike Aid Kit.

The Gearhead CBN membership -- for $48 per year -- gives you Unlimited Tool Rental**; 10% Discount on all Parts; 20% Discount on your First Workshop; a Vote at Annual General Meetings; and a Bike Aid Kit.

*Everyone who is currently a member will have valid memberships until December 31, 2009. By that date you will be required to renew your membership at one of the two levels. All new memberships from this point forward are good for the calendar year - January 1 to December 31. All membership purchases after October 31 are rolled over for the following year - you basically get two free winter months (albeit with limited hours). Volunteer hours must be done in the year of the membership application and confirmed by staff.

** Tool Rental may not be used for commercial reasons. You are not allowed to run your own business in our shop. When the stands are full you or if the regular mechanics require the bench you will be required to wait.
